Repairs at your home

Islamabad and Rawalpindi

A local electrician for the appliances your home runs on

Many appliance faults in Islamabad homes are not only about the appliance. A geyser element that keeps burning out, an AC compressor that will not start in the evening or a UPS that drains its batteries in an hour often trace back to the supply, the breaker or the wiring behind it.

Saif Electrician works from Triple One A Plaza near Bahria Phase 6 in Police Foundation, Rawalpindi. Because we are electricians first, every repair visit includes a look at the power reaching the appliance as well as the appliance itself. That way the fault gets fixed once instead of coming back a week later.

Appliance repair services in Islamabad

Five appliances keep a home in Islamabad running through the summer heat, the winter cold and load shedding. Each one has its own page with the faults we fix most often and answers to common questions.

AC repair

Split, inverter and window ACs that blow warm air, leak water, trip the breaker or show an error code. We check the gas pressure, PCB, capacitor and fan motors, then repair the part that failed.

Common jobs include gas leaks, error codes and outdoor unit faults.

Fridge repair

Single door, double door and inverter fridges that stop cooling, freeze over or run without stopping. We test the compressor, relay, thermostat, defrost parts and gas before deciding on a repair.

Common jobs include gas charging, ice buildup and compressor clicking.

Geyser repair

Gas, electric and instant geysers that give no hot water, keep switching off or leak. We clean burners, replace thermocouples, thermostats and elements and check every gas and water fitting.

Common jobs include pilot faults, elements and tank leaks.

UPS repair

Home UPS and inverter units that stop backing up during load shedding, beep without stopping or fail to charge. We check the card, charging circuit, fuses, batteries and the house wiring on backup.

Common jobs include no backup, charging faults and card repair.

Washing machine repair

Front load, top load and twin tub machines that will not drain, spin or start, or that leak on the floor. We check the drain pump, belt, motor, door lock and control board.

Common jobs include drain, spin, door lock and board faults.

Why an electrician makes the repair last

Low voltage, loose connections and undersized breakers are behind many repeat breakdowns in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. A technician who only swaps parts may fix today’s fault while the cause stays in the wall. We check both.

Supply and voltage

We measure the voltage at the socket or isolator, especially during the evening peak when it drops furthest, and advise on a stabilizer where the supply is weak.

Breakers and wire size

An AC or electric geyser on a breaker or wire that is too small will trip or overheat. We check that both match the load.

Plugs and sockets

Burnt plugs, loose terminals and worn sockets cause heat and power cuts at the appliance. We tighten, replace or rewire them.

Backup wiring

When a UPS feeds the wrong circuits or some rooms stay dark during load shedding, we trace the backup wiring and correct it.

AC repair before and during the Islamabad summer

June days in Islamabad often pass 40°C, and that is when a weak AC finally gives up. Most summer breakdowns come from a short list of causes. Gas leaking from old joints, a capacitor that has lost its strength, a drain pipe blocked with dust or an inverter board damaged by low voltage.

A service in March or April catches most of these early. It covers washing the indoor and outdoor coils, cleaning the filters and drain line, checking the gas pressure and testing the capacitor and wiring. If your AC is already struggling, call us and describe what it is doing. A short video on WhatsApp helps the technician bring the right parts.

Geyser repair for cold Islamabad mornings

January nights in Islamabad fall close to freezing, and the first cold week brings the most geyser trouble of the year. Gas geysers usually fail at the pilot, the thermocouple or the burner. Electric geysers usually lose an element or a thermostat.

Book a geyser check in October so the burner, thermostat, safety valve and fittings are ready before winter. If the geyser is already giving trouble, switch it off and call us before using it again.

Signs your geyser needs a check

A yellow flame means the gas is not burning cleanly and can produce carbon monoxide. If you smell gas, close the valve and open the windows first.

A year of appliance care in Islamabad

Islamabad’s weather decides what breaks and when. A check before each busy season costs less than a breakdown in the middle of it.

March and April

Service the AC before the first hot week. Wash the coils, clean the drain and check the gas.

May to August

Fridges and UPS units work hardest. Keep a gap behind the fridge and top up UPS battery water.

October

Check the geyser before the first cold night. Clean the burner and test the thermostat and safety valve.

All year

Washing machines wear at a steady rate. Clean the drain filter every month and leave the door open after washing.

How a repair visit works

The same four steps for every appliance, whether it is an AC in July or a geyser in January.

1

Call or WhatsApp

Tell us the appliance, the brand, what it is doing and your area. A photo or short video on WhatsApp helps.

2

We set a visit time

We agree a time that suits you. From Saturday to Thursday we take calls at any hour.

3

Fault and cost first

The technician checks the appliance, explains the fault and tells you the cost before any work starts.

4

Repair and test

We fix the fault and run the appliance in front of you so you can see it working.

Simple checks before you call

A few safe checks can save a visit or help us arrive with the right parts.

Check the breaker

If the appliance is completely dead, look at its breaker in the main board. If it trips again straight after you reset it, leave it off and call us.

Note the error code

ACs and automatic washing machines show codes on the display. Write the code down or take a photo and send it on WhatsApp.

Clean the filters

A clogged AC filter or a blocked washing machine drain filter causes many weak cooling and draining complaints. Both are quick to clean.

Smell gas? Stop

Close the gas valve, open the windows and do not switch anything on or off. Call for help from outside the house.
